Have some free holiday fun at NorthPole.com

I understand that some people don’t celebrate Christmas, but since Christmas is my favorite holiday, I love finding great sites where my kids and I can do some fun holiday activities.  One of our new favorite websites is northpole.com .  This site is loaded with fun activities and resources for a family-friendly holiday season.  Parents, this website is touted as kid-safe, but be sure to do some looking around first before letting your child roam free on there because we all have different ideas of what constitutes a kid-safe environment.

Now, for a little more about northpole.com …there are puzzles, games, mazes, and so much more.  There is a section where you can enter your child’s name and a few other fields to create three personalized stories that you can view in your web browser or print out to read while curled up on the couch with your special kid and steaming mugs of hot chocolate.

Recipes , a good deed calendar , holiday postcards , and desktop wallpapers are also available.  Lest you think that your child would just be wasting his or her time playing around on a happy little Christmas website, educational activities geared toward the younger crowd are available for children from Pre-K to third grade.  The educational activities come in a downloaded PDF format so you can save, view, and print as often as you want.

Your children can learn communication skills by sending letters to Santa , and they can even sign up to get a birthday greeting from Santa via email because, you know, Santa is totally tech savvy nowadays.

You’ve got the whole weekend stretching out in front of you and Christmas vacation coming up, so sit down with your kids and have a little bit of fun playing some of the games, looking up holiday movies to watch as a familyor books to read ,  or searching through the recipes section to find some yummy food to whip up with your kids for the holiday celebrations.

Have a great weekend!

I’ve nominated you as a Lemonade Award winner (not a bad thing!). Check out my latest blog (telecommuting.today.com) to find out how to pass it on!

Also, love your blog. We homeschool our two children!
