Free Writing Lessons–Print AND Cursive

I admit quite willingly that I’m a bit of a snob when it comes to handwriting.  Having good handwriting, to me, is almost as important as brushing my teeth each morning.  I am always on the lookout for great handwriting courses and teaching tips so that my kids (especially my lefty) will have legible handwriting.

After scouring the web for a bit, I’ve stumbled across a fantastic resource for writing lessons .  Donna Young of DonnaYoung.org has apparently put a LOT of work into preparing her printables and lessons.  I was blown away just thinking about the amount of time she must spend developing her materials.

The site has materials for different subjects, planning/admin resources and so much more, but I’m focusing today on her writing lessons.  Excellent lessons and worksheets help us all out and these ones are the best kind—FREE.

Ms. Young also has the contents of her site (resources, printables, etc as well as extras) on CD ROM currently discounted for her holiday sale.  The cost is $20.00 plus postage and handling, but this price only lasts until Friday, December 12, 2008.  If you want it, order it now because the cost goes up to $25.00 (not much of an increase, I admit) after Friday.

Here is the link to the writing section of her website where you can choose manuscript in large and small or cursive.  She even has a tiny bit of information about how to make writing papers for lefty’s so I’m in luck with this resource as well!

In addition, for anyone using these resources, please contact Ms. Young and let her know how valuable the resources have been to you and your family.  Show some gratitude– she deserves it.
